Robbie
Williams 'Weekends of Mass Distraction' European Tour
Robbie Williams embarked on a massive stadium tour
in the summer of 2003. Playing to over one million
people including three shows at Knebworth Park, it
was the biggest tour he had ever undertaken. Matching
the scale of the tour was an automated video and lighting
system using 448 LED panels and 98 Vari-lites. Kinesys
controlled all of the 30 axes required using servo
motors and variable speed chain hoists. Click

Rolling
Stones "Licks" World Tour
A total of 31 axes of motion control were supplied
to this ground-breaking tour. Each of the axes were
driven by a servo motor controlled by a Velocity drive
module. All axes were controlled by Vector software
over a high speed ArcNet network. Click on this link

We
Will Rock You - The Musical
When the creators of We Will Rock You went looking
for a system to control critical elements within the
show their search resulted in an installation of fourteen
Velocity drives and controls. This revolutionary show
featuring the music of Queen uses LED video screens
as an integral part of the fabric of the show, and
all of them had to move. Click

Bon
Jovi 'Bounce' Tour
Bon Jovi's 'Bounce' tour started in arenas in the
USA. When they moved it to Europe they also moved
into stadiums. The new look involved six flown video
screens running on variable speed chain hoists controlled
by Kinesys' Elevation 1+ hoist controllers and programmed
and run by Kinesys' Vector software package. |

Starlight
Express
The omni-present Starlight Express started a tour
of venues around the United States in May 2003. The
30-month tour will play in some venues for less than
a week and so minimising the turnaround time between
venues became paramount. Six Elevation 1+ variable
speed hoist controllers enable lighting trusses to
be quickly rigged on Lodestar chain hoists and become
an integral part of the set, completely changing the
look of the show during various scenes. |

Johnny
English
When the producers of this feature film starring Rowan
Atkinson filmed a scene involving the hapless secret
agent in a leading Sushi restaurant, Kinesys provided
a Velocity drive and operator to adjust the speed
and direction of the restaurant's conveyor belt, allowing
multiple takes to be completed quickly and efficiently. |

Yumi
Matsutoya Tour
6 lighting pods each carrying three Vari-Lites glided
up and down angled masts around the circular stage
during this tour by one of Japan's leading stars.
Velocity drives were controlled by DMX from the Icon
lighting console via a custom interface, giving lighting
designer Oz Owen an extra dimension of movement. |
