Due
to the more complex control required to run a chain
hoist at variable speed a simple conversion must first
be carried out. This conversion upgrades some of the
electrical components within the hoist, and where
the hoist does not already have a compatible device,
adds a high resolution encoder.
Once
the conversion is completed, the hoist can be plugged
straight into a Kinesys Elevation 1+ chain hoist controller
to give millimetre precise positioning and full variable
speed control. It can also, however, be controlled
at fixed speed by a standard motor controller with
the inclusion of a Ceeform adaptor.
Conversions
can be performed either by Kinesys or in most cases
by the end-user; a comprehensive user manual is supplied
with each kit.
The
Elevation 1+ conversion system is unique in its ability
to allow a hoist to be controlled at both fixed and
variable speed without any further modification. Compatible
hoists include CM Lodestar, CM Prostar, Liftket and
Verlinde Stagemaker models. Custom kits for other
