For
a flexible multi-axis position controller with extensive
features the answer is Axiom. It will accept an extensive
range of encoder types and with a combination of digital
and analogue inputs and outputs virtually any type
of axis can be controlled.
Four
channels are built into an Axiom module and each channel
can be independently configured for servo or stepper
motor control. The axis type and all other parameters
can be entered using the easy to use programming controls
on the front of the unit, or via the Ethernet port.
Full manual control and status display for all four
axes is also included.
The
flexibility of Axiom not only gives the Kinesys range
the ability to control almost any device but also
provides an opportunity for clients with existing
automation installations to upgrade to Kinesys controls
while utilising their existing equipment. Variations
on the standard Axiom module include units incorporating
stepper motor drivers and hydraulic valve controllers.
