Encoder Scaling Dashboard Widget Released

The Kinesys Encoder Scaling Calculator Dashboard widget allows Mac users to easily calculate encoder scaling right from their Dashboard. Designed to run on Mac OS X 10.4 and above, this widget takes the headache out of calculating encoder scaling, by doing all of the calculations for you.

All you need to enter is the current encoder scaling you are using, the distance the object has travelled (in millimetres) and the distance you told it to travel (by default set to 1000mm). With this information it generates the correct encoder scaling for the encoder you are using.

The widget can be downloaded free of charge here or from kinesys.co.uk/support. More information on encoder scaling can be found here, where there is also an option to download an Excel spreadsheet that will perform the same calculations for you.
